Keeping Moon in Belly Button
The Little Man has decided he stores the moon in his belly button. Last night and this morning he pulled up his shirt, fiddled with his belly button then threw the moon into the sky - "There you go."

Random behaviour
The Little Man decided to move things out of the fridge and onto his table this evening. No reason shared.

He's never been so quick to bed.....any bed
We've started a new house rule: No soothers unless he is in bed.
Sure enough, after "carrying" his soother for a few minutes, he went and climbed into Mummy's bed. Soon followed by stuffing soother in mouth and just lying there.
Just did it again. Second time in 10 minutes. This little guy isn't ready to give up soothers. I had to give him the soother to get him out of the bedroom so my lady could get some sleep. He is crafty at finding ways to get his own way.
We're still aiming for D-Day on Saturday - letting the soothers float away on balloons so he can watch. We'll make it a little farewell party. Not sure how long it will last. Based on tonight's performance I reckon about 15 minutes.
UPDATE: He now must hold the soothers and he "pretends" to suck them. Also caught him climbing into bed alone for the first time - just so he could have a go at his soothers in bed. Entertaining times....

Note to self
Sometimes it is better just to stay home. Logistical nightmare to catch ferries on time (two reservations missed!), pack all DM stuff, then having DM freaking out at 4am each night, beds not fitting, everyone stressed, offline with deadlines, DM running around restaurants so it is impossible to enjoy dinner/pint. At least the second night was good when we stayed in the unit and cooked dinner - far more relaxing.
Once again returned home more stressed out than when I left. But it is very good to be home to chill out. Life would be easier to simply have "staycations".

Small but powerful. ETA May 2010
All looks good for our little love child, and right on schedule. Exciting times and a huge relief.
Heart was pumping, hands were waving and moving toward mouth to allow thumb sucking. Nervous system was active and little person was twitching and moving in the bubble.
VM has had morning sickness since the start and finally gave in and took some medication....she's feeling much better now. Plus she took the same medication for DM and all worked out perfectly. We should do everything we can to have 2.0 the same as DM - he's such a perfect little man.

Quote of the day: "Nice Job Guys"
Just another Tuesday with a massive Code 6 overflowing everywhere - the worst we've seen in a long time. It required both of us to juggle and clean up. Like a pair of battle-hardened veterans we efficiently wiped, washed and slipped on the new diaper. His response: Nice Job Guys. As if we'd just scored a goal in some footy, and he was the coach on the sidelines. It was a nice way to start another chaotic day.
